1946
Born: Wesleyville, Pennsylvania
Buried: Erie, Pennsylvania
Spouse: Lula E. Dawson Bliley
My grandfather started his career as a teacher in the Albion and Erie, Pennsylvania schools districts, but most of his working life was spent as a lawyer specializing in real estate. He received no formal education in the law and followed the practice of "reading the law" under the tutelage of the Honorable Judge John P. Vincent. He passed the bar exam in 1891 after several years of study. Frank A. Bliley was a life-long member of the Erie Bar Association until his death in 1946. He was active will into his 70s. He worked from three different offices in downtown Erie over his career.
