SELECTED BLILEY PATENTS
of John Martin Wolfskill
V.P. Engineering, W3QKT

Below is a partial list of the patents of John M. Wolfskill. In total, he achieved 29 patents during his 37-year tenure with Blileys from 1934 to 1971. Of these, there were two of which he was the most proud in his 1979 interview with Charles A. Bliley, the "overtone" crystal (2,157,808) and the "resonant-pin" holder (2,240,453). Items with a hyperlink are posted on this Web site for you to view.

A group of six patents relating to the invention and application of variable-frequency crystals, and associated oscillators, are collectively discussed on this site on another patent page.

NOTES:

  1. A reasonable effort was made to assure accuracy in the translation of the content of the patents to Web-based pages. These patents are provided on this site for historical research. If complete accuracy is essential to your needs, please read the original patents as published by the U.S. Patent Office.
  2. The content of the "description" column reflects a mixture of information found in Wolfskill's personal files and common terms used by engineers in the field. The actual patent subject lines of many of these patents use generic terms of a U.S. Patent Office classification system. Most of these patents are described as "Piezoelectric Crystal Apparatus" or "Piezoelectric Crystal" by the Patent Office.
