INTRODUCTION
After I was discharged from the Coast Guard in 1971 was once again active in the Radio Association of Erie and headed back to college.
Bob Bair, WA3HDK, the editor of the club's newsletter asked me to take over photographing and writing profiles of interesting hams in the Erie area.hese articles were title, "Ham of the Month". I was not so certain I could do it, but I agreed to give it a try. After seeing the results, Bob asked me to continue doing the articles as long as I would like. Bob was a good editor and made my work look great. Thanks Bob!
I used a 35mm SLR and processed the film at home in my bathroom. Enlarger placed on a 2' x 2' sheet of plywood bridging the bathtub, and chemical trays on the bottom of the tub. The finished photos were hung from the shower curtain rod. It was not a sophisticated arrangement, but it did work.
As I get time, I will scan other articles that I wrote for the QUA-RAE. In all, there are seven profiles and several more articles that I wrote that you may find interesting. One is missing and I cannot remember the ham's name found in Proof Sheet Roll 2. If you know who this person is, please write me with the answer. Thanks.

NEGATIVE PROOF SHEETS FOR ARTICLES
Here is a collection of 35mm negative proof sheets I created for consideration to these articles. Not all of the photos were solely for the QUA-RAE newsletter. Some are of my family and me, along with some related to possible other articles for the newsletter. I apologize for the mixed orientation, but these prints were intended for my personal use at the time and not for Web presentation 45 years later! Just download them and use your photo editor to rotate the sheet images. Each sheet image file is about 2 Megabytes.
Click on the thumbnail images to view them in relatively high resolution. Who know, you may find yourself in one of them. :-)
I hope you had fun looking over these old ems. Have a great day!
